Interests

I was confused about assigning tasks to a new person on our team - because I was still not sure where their interests lie, and they've seemed happy to work with all the tasks thrown their way.

Someone told me to simply give it some time - the kind of tasks that completed are probably a better indicator of a person's interest than whatever they might say anyway.

That seemed simultaneously insightful and obvious.
